Now you can use google search without having the need to have GPRS or internet connection in your phone. You can just send the keywords to the specified number and you will get the search results as reply to your SMS.
For using this service, initially you have to register your mobile number at Google Calender by visiting www.google.com/calender. Go to the "settings" then "mobile setup" and register your mobile number there. To register your number you will have to confirm it by entering the confirmation code sent to you by Google.
After registering, You can use google search using SMS. Just SMS your search query to 9773300000 (for India), You will be replied with search results. The number is also a similar to any mobile number so special charges will not be applied. You can use this service using general SMS sending charges that are same for sending SMS to any national mobile number. If you are using any free SMS card then you can avail this service for free since your SMS are not chargeable
