Every person in the advertising and marketing sector probably knows the importance of being ranked in the Brand Equity Survey conducted by India Times group whose results gets published in a supplement of the newspaper called “Brand Equity”.
Every year Brand Equity publishes the list of top 10 brands on the month of September.
Now since to reach September its less than a month left, so lets have a quick look on
the Top 10 brands in India as per the 2010’s ranking as was published in
September-01-2010 issue on page no. 6.
As you see in the list given below in a table, we can figure out that Nokia being the most respected mobile brand in India tops the list followed by Colgate, the leading toothpaste brand of India since a decade which always faces a tough competition from Pepsodent followed due to their rigorous advertisement camps both in electronic media and physical mode by frequent visits to schools and colleges to organise dental checkups. Well it seems the list is populated mostly by the FMCG giant Hindustan Unilever Ltd only because of its high quality products being delivered and its glaring advertising shown in TVs and in film promotions.
Well the list for 2010’s top 10 brands in India is given as follows
