Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus – Features & Review.

Previously I wrote about the features and review of Samsung Galaxy Nexus, now it is the turn for the newest tablet PC by Samsung Electronics that is Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. On 21st of October, Samsung Electronics had announced that the pre-orders for this tablet will begin from Sunday, 23rd of October onwards. This Galaxy tab will be available for retail sale from November 13th onwards. So let us take a closer look on to the features and specifications of this tab.



First of all looking into the outer body structure of this tablet, it is light weight in its design with an approximate weight of just 345 grams. While its dimensions are considered it is just 9.96 mm thick with a 7 inch screen.

Talking about the system configuration of this tablet, it has a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has been provided with an internal storage capacity of 16 GB. Similar to the case of Samsung Galaxy Smartphone, this Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will also run on Google owned Android’s Honeycomb Operating System.

Moving on to its media capability, this Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is having a screen size of 7 inch with a display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixel for better experience of watching movies and videos on the tab. One innovational feature of this tablet is built in infrared sensors. Using these infrared hardwares, you will be able to control your remote controlled TV or Home theatre directly from the interface of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.

Well this new feature has been integrated in this tablet PC using the advanced Peel Application which can be used without the need for any additional hardwares for connecting to the TV cables. Using this infrared functionality the users can control their TV sets, set top box set, DVD or VCD players, Blue ray players and AV audio directly from their Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus irrespective of the manufacturer of the TV or Home theater set.

Not only this much, the Peel application also suggest some recommendations based on your preferences set in the device and the tablet will show the top recommendations on the home page of your tablet in thumbnail format. You can touch any of the thumbnail to watch the related episode and can also click on ‘watch on TV’ mode which will automatically change your TV channel to the one which is going on in your Galaxy tab 7.0 Plus.

Now coming to its price tag, it has been priced at $400 at selected retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Tiger Direct, Fry’s etc. This device will be available or retail sale from November 13th onwards.
